ApplyFlow

Privacy policy

Last updated 19 October 2026. Written in plain language to describe what the app actually does. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not legal advice.

The short version

  • ApplyFlow keeps your profile, your applications and the documents written for them, so the app can work.
  • ApplyFlow does not send your profile to an AI model itself. Your own Claude, which you connect, reads it to write your CVs and cover letters.
  • Your CV photo is never sent to Claude.
  • We never sell your data and never publish it. You can delete your account and everything in it yourself at any time.

What we store

  • Your account: name, email address and a password hash, or the Google or GitHub account you signed in with.
  • Your profile: contact details, address, nationality and date of birth if you enter them (German-style CVs show them), work history, skills, languages, education, projects, job preferences and document settings.
  • Your CV photo, if you add one, and the text of CVs you upload for import.
  • What you do in the app: jobs you liked, passed or saved, your filters, your applications with their stages and notes, the CVs and cover letters your Claude wrote, and job reports you send.
  • Your Claude connection (access tokens) and, if you set up automatic mode, your Claude routine token, stored encrypted.
  • Technical logs needed to run and secure the service, such as sign-in sessions and error logs, and a record of detected prompt-injection attempts in job ads.

What your Claude sees

When you connect Claude, it can use ApplyFlow’s tools on your behalf: read your profile, the job ads you applied to and the instructions for tailoring, and save the documents it writes. When you upload a CV for import, Claude reads its text and suggests a profile. What Claude does with that data is governed by your agreement with Anthropic, not by us.

Your CV photo is never sent to Claude; the app adds it to the PDF itself. With automatic mode, ApplyFlow only tells your Claude routine that work is waiting; it sends no profile data.

Job matching

The fit score on each job is computed on your device: your browser downloads an open text model (from Hugging Face) and turns your profile into a list of numbers there. When you sort by best fit, that computed profile vector (not your profile text) is sent with that one request to rank jobs, and is not stored or logged.

Email status tracking

If you turn on email tracking, ApplyFlow only processes emails that look related to your job applications and that you allow it to read, to update the status of those applications. You can turn it off at any time.

What other users can see

Nothing that identifies you. ApplyFlow may show aggregated, anonymous statistics about companies, for example how often they reply to applications, and only when enough different people are in a group (a minimum group size) that no one can be singled out.

Who else is involved

  • Anthropic, when you connect your own Claude (see above).
  • Our hosting and database providers, which run the app and store its data.
  • Google or GitHub, only if you choose to sign in with them.
  • Job ads are collected from public job boards and may be summarized by an AI service; that never includes your data.

How long we keep it

Your data stays as long as your account exists, so your applications and documents remain available to you. When you delete your account, it is removed from the live database at once. Copies in database backups, if any, disappear when those backups expire.

Deleting your account

Go to Settings → Account and choose “Delete account”. This removes your profile, photo, uploaded CVs, swipes, filters, applications, documents and Claude connection. Remove the ApplyFlow connector in Claude as well, since your Claude conversations are kept by Anthropic.

Contact

You can view, change and delete your data yourself in the app. A contact address for privacy questions will be listed here.
